Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your name and email address (from account sign-up)
• For instructors: bio, class types, an optional profile photo, an optional video audition link, and certification records (name, expiry date, and an optional uploaded proof document)
• For venues: venue name and the cover requests you post
• Booking activity - applications, confirmations, cancellations, and class plans
• Feedback survey responses submitted by class members via a shareable link. These are not linked to a member account, since class members don’t have one.

Why we collect it

To run the marketplace: matching instructors with cover requests, confirming bookings, checking certification status so unqualified instructors can’t be booked, and emailing you about things that need your attention (a new applicant, an expiring certification, a confirmed booking).

Who can see it

• Your profile (name, bio, photo, audition link) is visible to venues once you apply for their cover request.
• Certification proof documents are private by default and are only made visible to a venue while your application to their request is pending. Once they confirm or decline you, access closes again.
• We use Resend to send transactional emails and Supabase to host the database, authentication, and file storage. Both only process data on our behalf - they don’t use it for their own purposes.
• We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, certifications, and booking history are permanently removed.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what data we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can delete your own account and all associated data at any time from your profile page, or email us and we’ll do it for you.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
